There are good horses. There are great horses.
And then… there’s Jac. You know that annoying friend that everyone likes, is good at everything the first time they try it, and has zero emotional baggage or trauma? Well that's Jac.
Registered as JacsGunnaTrashya, this 2021 AQHA gelding is one of those horses that makes you sit back and go, “Seriously? How are you this good at everything already?” He’s the kind of gelding that seems to have skipped the awkward stage of growing up entirely. Everything you ask of him—he just does it. First try, no fuss. He IS that friend who’s good at everything, never had a bad day in his life, is best friends with everyone, but is somehow still humble about it.
He’s been with us since he was two—straight out of Molly’s personal pasture, and that says a lot. He’s never been passed around, never had his mind messed with, and every part of his training has been thoughtful, consistent, and kind. He spent the better part of his 2- and 3-year-old years with Jeromy Lipps of Lipps Horse Training, who has numerous accolades in reining, and it shows. Jac has tons of reining training, but the mind of a ranch horse and the soul of your favorite dog.
Let’s talk about what Jac can do—because the list is long and impressive. He has a stylish sliding stop, correct spins in both directions, clean flying lead changes, and flawless transitions that make him feel like an imported sports car. He sidepasses to the mounting block, lays down, and rides bridleless and bareback with total confidence. He’s carried flags, pulled sleds, and worked all types of gates with ease. Nothing phases him—he’ll go through water, walk over tarps, and calmly navigate past pigs, dogs, bouncing balls, and anything else you throw his way.
But more important than what he can do is how he does it. Jac is kind. He’s forgiving. He meets you where you’re at—whether you're a polished rider asking for finesse or someone just learning how to steer. He can go from a beautiful lope with perfect lead changes one minute to babysitting someone’s nervous boyfriend the next, and somehow makes both rides feel equally smooth and special.
And here’s the part that gets me every time: he never changes.
Leave him off for five months in the middle of winter. Saddle him up on the coldest day of the year. Haul him to a busy, chaotic sale barn full of wild-eyed colts and nervous horses. Ride him straight into the noise, the energy, the crowd—and Jac? He’s the best horse in the barn. Better than the seasoned horses. Better than the ones ridden every day. He walks in with his ears up, ready to go to work like he never missed a beat. Because that’s who he is.
He’s also hilarious. Curious. Social. Loving. He greets everyone at the gate like a golden retriever and seems to genuinely enjoy meeting new people and trying new things. He’s easy to catch, great to haul, solid to saddle, and quiet to shoe. He loads himself in the trailer and always steps out like he’s been there before.
Jac is the kind of horse that grows on you quickly. One day you realize he’s the one you always go grab—even when you weren’t planning to ride. He’s the horse you trust with your nieces, the one you hop on bareback with a halter just to go check fences, the one you swing a rope off of for fun, or ride into town in a parade. Ranch versatility? Absolutely. Ranch riding? 100%. Drill team, trail competitions, 4H, ranch horse shows, mountain trails, fun shows, working cattle—he is ready, willing, and overqualified.
He’s that once-in-a-lifetime gelding that doesn’t just check the boxes—he creates new ones and checks those too. He has the talent to go to the top, the brain to stay grounded, and the heart to carry anyone—no matter their skill, no matter their goals.
If you're looking for that rare mix of incredible training, total rideability, a personality you can’t help but love, and a horse you’ll want in your life forever—here's Jac.
Jac is also current on absolutely everything. He’s up to date on dental work, routine chiropractic care, vaccinations, deworming, and farrier maintenance. He’s been managed with care and consistency, and it shows in his health, soundness, and demeanor.Call or text John: (208)310-5686 or Molly (208)566-3050 or email [email protected] for more information about Jac!
