We have owned Michael Jackson since he was a yearling, and from the very beginning he has exceeded every expectation we had for him. He has the kind of disposition that's hard to find and is truly one of those horses everyone enjoys riding. My wife rode him throughout her pregnancy, up until she was nine months along, and our daughter was riding with us on him just a few weeks after she was born. He is trustworthy, kind, and always takes care of his rider.
Michael is the perfect combination of a calm, level-headed draft cross with the athleticism and responsiveness of a Quarter Horse. Being 3/4 Quarter Horse, he has plenty of cow and the ability to go all day. He has been used for just about every job on the ranch, including branding, Ranch Rodeos, doctoring cattle, team roping, gathering, trail riding, and arena work. Nothing seems to faze him, and he approaches every task with a willing attitude.
He has been ridden extensively through the rugged Badlands of North Dakota, where the terrain is some of the toughest you'll find. He confidently climbs steep hills, crosses rough country, and goes wherever you point him without hesitation. Michael has a natural cow sense, sorts cattle with ease, and is always enjoyable to ride.
