Picket is a fancy grey 9 year old draft cross gelding. Picket is a solid 15.3 hands, raw boned with ample foot, and has great conformation. Picket has been enjoyed by the whole family both working cattle and trail riding. Picket fits a lot of riders. He has been ridden western and english. Picket has been used for all aspects of ranching. We have roped cows, calves and yearlings. He ropes both ends and holds a rope well. On the trails, he rides out alone or in a group. He's been exposed to everything urban trails and remote backcountry trails have to offer... wildlife, vagrants, water crossings, bridges, bogs, bicyclists and rescue dogs. In the arena, Picket will lope nice circles, has a nice stop and will spin. He has also roped out of the box. Picket has a nice handle. He rides one handed, moves off leg pressure. Picket is farrier and vet approved. He loads easily and backs out of the trailer. Picket absolutely loves being groomed and doted over.
