Amos Yoder of Yoder Equine represents three generations of breeding and training great horses. You might say the passion runs in their blood. The Yoders specialize in various breeds from Friesians, Draft Crosses, Quarter Horses and ponies. The top priority is to produce horses with great minds so they may excel at a variety of jobs - from pleasure to trail & driving to dressage. This priority begins when purchasing or raising horses who will be in their program. A sound mind is the most important attribute they look for before the horses even start in training. While in the program their mind is nurtured by being exposed to a variety of desensitizing, gaining confidence, and becoming efficient in the skills they will learn.

Yoder Equine is a family owned and operated business including Amos’ wife and three young children. The children will make the fourth generation as they learn to ride and train by working along side their dad. During the day they play with their ponies under mom’s supervision and in the evenings they are at the barn with Amos where they ride and enjoy the horses together. This is by far the highlight of each of their days as the children cannot wait for the time they get to go to the barn and ride with their dad! It may be called a business but it is really a labor of love.
