Description:

The most gentle soul.  At only four years old, “Vegas” is quiet, easy going, confident, and has such a sweet spirit.  He’s big, dependable, forgiving, and beautiful!  He is statuesque with his black and white tobiano markings, flowing mane and tail and adorable face.  At Yoder Equine, he is often ridden by the five and three year old girls.  The five year old says, “I love to ride him by myself because he makes me feel big because I’m riding like my daddy”!  He has given the three year old lessons, as she is learning her way and building her confidence on big horses.  “Vegas” is definitely a confidence builder!  He has been in the Yoder family since he was a weanling and is very loved.

“Vegas” has been on miles of trails through a variety of terrain, up and down steep inclines, over logs, crossing brides, navigating through water, and around wildlife.  He’s happy to go out alone or in various size groups.  He takes care of his rider as he carefully navigates his way.  He is traffic safe and is confident and comfortable around bullwhips, tarps, balls, and flags.  Nothing bothers this gentle guy.

He drives, both single and double.  He has driven the family to church and waited on them patiently, down country roads as well as busy roads.  He also pulls a zero turn lawnmower which is propelled by horse power.  This is a boring, frustrating job for a lot of horses with lots of turns and back and forth.  “Vegas” handles it like a champ and is happy to do any task put in front of him, including mowing.

“Vegas” will pick you up curbside from anything you choose:  rocks, fences, stools, and even a sliding board.  He will lie down and sit on command with ease.  He rides bridle-less in and out of the arena.  He is happy to lope circles in an arena and has a turnaround, soft feel, nice self carriage and is responsive to leg cues even from the kids.
